The Nitgen Access Manager solution can support two network modes, “Authenicate in Server” and “Authenticate in Terminal”.
If you use the “Authenticate in Server” mode, the registered users can not be authenticated whenever the network is disconnected with the Access Server.
If you use the “Authenticate in Terminal” mode, the registered users can be authenticated even if the network is broken.
The registered users are stored both on the server & on the terminal when you use the “Authenticate in Terminal” mode.
Hence , if you want that the users to be authenticated regardless of the network connection, then it is advisable to use the “Authenticate in Terminal” mode.
