Biometric Identification
Overview
A privately owned cab company chooses Bayometric’s Web-Based Biometrics Driver Identification System to identify drivers with a prior registration record, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of their client’s security. The new biometric based system, compatible with various fingerprint scanners available in the market, is able to make the match accurately, and display the results within a few seconds.
Requirements
The need to upgrade the registration process was felt when the company identified the risks of drivers being able to register themselves at other centers after being blacklisted. Bayometric, developers of Biometric based security systems, have helped the cab company in implementing a biometric based solution that provides for single personal identification sign- in, registration centers integration for data mining and establishing a countrywide presence.
What our clients say
The Process
This system uses a central database where all registration records are kept. When a driver tries to register into the system, it checks whether there is any prior record of registration. If, for example, the driver has been blacklisted before, and his permit revoked, the system would draw a red flag, alerting the management.
Solution
The Web Based Biometric Driver Identification System has been integrated with the existing CRM systems of the Cab Company to prevent duplication of data. It is proving to be a cost effective security solution to the company by eliminating chances of fraud during the identification process.
Benefits
The system is aimed at cutting costs, reducing instances of fraud, maintaining systems integrity and identifying blacklisted drivers.
The system’s parallel multi-node fingerprint server architecture makes this biometric security solution highly scalable and ideal for large-scale automated fingerprint identification systems (AFIS). The software can be easily customized to send fingerprints to an agency for Background checks.
