SecuGen Hamster Pro Duo CL (XU20CL)

Hamster Pro Duo CL is a multi-factor authentication device (fingerprint scanner + card reader) from SecuGen. It can be used for a number of applications like physical access control, National ID programs, personal identity verification and other authentication necessities.

The device uses a smart card reader that uses NFC technology and a biometric fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes. This not only assures security but also end user convenience.

The Pro Duo CL uses the U20 fingerprint sensor which is the latest fingerprint technology from SecuGen. Combined with a contact less smart card reader, the device is not just technologically advanced but also sleek and ergonomically designed.

Equipped with SecuGen’s Auto-On and Fake finger rejection technologies, the reader is highly reliable. It produces high quality fingerprints in any environment owing to the rugged optical sensor that uses patented and patent pending technologies.

FAKE FINGER REJECTION

Pro Duo is capable of detecting artificial fingers made of silicon, rubber or play-doh. The feature is currently supported by Windows and will soon be supported by Android and Linux OS as well.

USB PLUG N PLAY

No additional power source required as the scanner is powered directly by the USB bus.

SMART CAPTURE

This Fingerprint + Smart Card reader is CCID compliant and has a built in antenna for NFC tag access and USB firmware adaptability along with a SAM slot for high level security in contact less applications.
