Fingerprint Scanner & SDK

What is Live Finger Detection and which biometric fingerprint scanners support it?
Live Finger Detection(LFD) is a patent pending technology developed to stop access to secured data and location by using fake fingers made from silicon, rubber, play-doh, etc. The fingerprint scanner emits a special signal that goes beyond the human skin to detect weather the finger is real or fake.
FS80 USB Fingerprint Scanner and FS88 USB Fingerprint Scanner come with the LFD feature.

I need to save the fingerprint as an image file. How can I do it?
Yes. FS80 USB Fingerprint Scanner and FS88 USB Fingerprint Scanner come with a free API to save fingerprints in an image file.

What is the minimum DPI for the fingerprint image captured by your fingerprint scanners?
Our fingerprint scanners capture fingerprint images with a minimum of 500 dpi.

Do you have a fingerprint scanner with built-in card reader for two way authentication?
FS82 USB Fingerprint Scanner with Card Reader is a fingerprint scanner with built in card reader.We also have a fingerprint device that supports Mifare cards

I need fingerprint scanners to install in a water park. Do you have a waterproof scanner?

Do you have FBI certified fingerprint scanners?
Yes. FS88 USB Fingerprint Scanner and Secugen Hamster IV are certified by FBI to be compliant with PIV-071006 Image Quality Specification for Single Finger Reader. They meet the US Federal Information Processing Standard 201(FIPS 201) for Personal Identification Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors.

Do you have a BIOAPI 1.2 AND 2.0 compliant SDK?
Yes,we have face recognition SDK and fingerprint recognition SDK that are BIOAPI compatable.

Do you have fingerprint recognition SDK and fingerprint scanner for Linux environment?
Yes. We have fingerprint scanners , fingerprint recognition SDK and face recognition SDK that work with Linux OS.

Does the SDK come with sample code?
Yes fingerprint recognition SDK and face recognition SDK comes with samples and documentation on different functions and utilities.

Mobile/PDA/Embedded/POS solutions

What is the difference between FS80/FS81/FS83/FS84?

FS80: It is a regular USB 2.0 based fingerprint scanner device. It has a special electronic circuit to do Live Finger Detection (LFD).
FS81 USB2.0 Fingerprint scanner module: It is same as FS80 but without the outer plastic cover. It has a 5 pins JST connector for connecting to USB host. It is an ideal solution for adding fingerprint recognition to standalone devices.

FS83 serial Fingerprint Authentication Module (sFAM): As opposed to FS80 or FS81, it has internal memory to store up to 2500 fingerprint templates. Fingerprint images and templates can be transferred via standard 4 wires serial interface.

FS84 ethernet Fingerprint Authentication Module (eFAM): It has internal memory to store up to 2500 fingerprint templates. Fingerprint images and templates can be via serial and ethernet interface.

I need to use a fingerprint scanner and SDK for a cell phone/PDA/mobile device. Do you have a solution?
Yes, we have fingerprint scanners and Fingerprint SDKs that can been used with such devices. Our fingerprint scanners have been implemented with the following PDA and mobile phones: Mitac Mio558, Acer N30, O2 Flame, Toshiba Portege G900. Please provide us with the specifications of your device and we will develop a solution for you.

Can your fingerprint scanner work with Windows Mobile 5.0 OS?
Yes. We have fingerprint scanners and SDK that work Window CE 5.0 and Window Mobile.

I want to use fingerprint scanner in an embedded system. Do you have anything for me?
Yes. Our embedded fingerprint modules and fingerprint SDK allow you to use fingerprint recognition in an embedded system.

Can I add a fingerprint module to my Point of Sale (POS) system?
Yes. Our embedded fingerprint modules and fingerprint SDK allow you to use fingerprint recognition in POS system.

TAA/Access Control

Do you have TAA/Access control systems?
Yes, we have Fingerprint Recognition and Iris Recognition based TAA/Access Control systems.

What is the recognition speed for Baylock in network mode (fingerprint recognition is done in FAS)?
The recognition speed in the network mode depends on configuration of computer where FAS is located. In one of the tested cases, when FAS is running on a P4 2.8GHz /1GB RAM computer, it can match 2500 fingerprints per second.

What type of Mifare card can be used with Baylock?
FS21M currently supports Philips S50 1K byte card and S70 4K byte card.

Software

Do you have products that combine various biometric technologies?
Yes. Our fingerprint recognition and face recognition products can be used in conjunction with each other for multi-level authentication. Our fingerprint recognition, face recognition and iris recognition products also come with card readers and PIN number functions for added security.

Do you develop software?
Yes. We do customized software development for biometric products.

Do you have a web-based biometric solution?
Yes. Our WBIS is a web-based multi-biometric face and fingerprint recognition system.
