Topaz SigGem Color 5.7 electronic signature verification pad is a versatile biometric device that uses a pen input mechanism to capture signatures from desktop, countertops and other portable applications.

This biometric reader features the latest in software development tools including ActiveX technology, Java and J2ME, C++, and the .NET framework. It is also compatible with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat and includes SigValid, SigCompare and SigAnalyze technology.

The Topaz Electronic Signature Pad is a good buy as it comes with a one year warranty with the option to renew at the end of the year. It is also compatible with Universal Service Bus and Ethernet capability making it a versatile device. The signing area measures 4.4" x 1.3" (112 x 33mm) which meets the minimum signing width requirement of 4.3 inches.

The captured signature is of forensic quality and can be examined and authenticated with the Topaz Sig electronic signature software. This ruggedly built biometric system also incorporates touchpad type sensors and passive stylus. With a data conversion rate of 377 points per second and a screen resolution of 410 true points per inch it is one of the most reliable and efficient signature verification systems available.

The text display has a resolution of 258 characters per inch at 12pt making it perfect for displaying text and graphics from the host computer. Pen tap hot spots can be used to navigate between screens and forms effortlessly.
